Unlike many Holly varieties, Ilex Verticillata loses its leaves during winter, exposing masses of bright red berries on it's stems.Throughout winter this shrub will provide a bright shock of colour when everything else has started to fade. Throughout spring and summer this variety has a dense habit and bright green leaves and is ideal for adding structure to beds and borders.Easy to grow and low maintenance. This variety has an eventual height of up to approximately 2 - 3mtr over time.Sold in a 5 litre pot. -

A female holly variety, the Ilex Golden King produces reddish-brown berries in winter if a male pollinating plant is nearby. Makes a compact, conical, evergreen shrub bearing broad, ovate, slightly spiny leaves that are dark green and margined yellow.
