Leptinella 'Platt's Black' is a delightful ground covering perennial. Evergreen with finely-divided, purple-bronze and dark -green foliage which is fern- like in appearance. Small yellow-green flowers in spring to summer, although this plant is grown for the very attractive foliage. Prefers humus rich soil, in moist but well drained soil. Hardy. An unusual and intriguing evergreen shrub. Leucothoe Curly Red is very sought after due to it's unique, curling leaves. When they first shoot, young leaves are a glossy red colour before maturing to a glossy green for Summer. As Winter comes and the cold weather approaches, this fantastic shrub actually changes its colour back to red and remains so until Spring approaches and new shoots appear. It can also bloom with small, white flowers in Spring, however these are often insignificant and do not draw attention away from it's glorious foliage. An ideal plant at providing groundcover, due to it's low spreading habit. Can grow up to 1m in height if not maintained, however it is commonly and very easily trimmed to keep it compact.This plant is easy to grow and very hardy. It prefers moist, well-drained soil and a shady position but is also tolerant of a wide range of growing conditions. Sold in a 12 litre pot. -

Leucothoe Scarletta is a magnificent hardy evergreen variety that is the perfect addition for brightening up the front of garden borders or when planted in containers to be displayed on the patio or decking, where the long slender leaves have an almost metallic shimmer in the sun. The vivid red foliage develops to a mild green then transpires into a bronze-red colour during the autumn and winter months, keeping interest and colour within the garden when other plants begin to fade. A great option to suppress weeds, this compact variety will reach a mature height of only 45-60cm. Small white flowers will begin to bloom in March through to May that contrast beautifully with the dense foliage. We recommend planting in more shaded areas of the garden in humus, rich acidic soil where they will thrive.Sold in a 2 litre pot. -
