Squirrels are primarily vegetarian, preferring food that is rich in protein and fats, such as nuts, seeds and vegetation. They enjoy burying their stores of nuts and seeds, especially in the autumn time, in preperation for when natural food is in short supply. Squirrel snacks are packed with seeds, nuts and fruit.
