A popular, compact, bushy shrub or small tree with mid-green leaves and silky buds which open up to large, pure white, star-shaped flowers, sometimes faintly flushed pink. The Podocarpus is a native to China and Japan. Also know as the Chinese Yew or the Buddhist Pine. It is a slow growing evergreen conifer that is easy to care for. With care this species can be kept indoors. Mist spraying and a cool room are recommended.If cool environments such as shaded porches, conservatories and sun rooms can be provided, they likelihood of success is increased. These may be too hot in summer, when the tree should be moved outside.The tree performs very well outside but does need protection in winter.Image for display purposes only. The new foliage of this handsome nandina emerges each spring a yellowy green, but over time will turn a richer lime green. Given sufficient space, this lovely Bonin Island Juniper will spread prostrate across the ground providing excellent groundcover. Where growing conditions are more crowded it will take a more mounded form - either way, it is equally attractive! The silver-blue, needle-like foliage is evergreen, taking on bronze and purple tones during the coldest months. Juniperus procumbens 'Nana' is a dependable shrub which has been awarded an RHS AGM. Juniperus communis 'Goldschatz' is a low growing evergreen coniferous shrub with orange-brown stems bearing aromatic, sharply-pointed, needle-like, golden-yellow to yellow-green leaves.with a ground-hugging habit.
