Common name, Slender Vervain, is a low-growing perennial species that produces an abundance of punchy purple flowers from summer and into autumn. It can handle part shade, but greater sun exposure leads to a better growth rate. Mountain Breeze forms a dense mat of evergreen foliage then in late spring, a mass of delightful pale blue flowers appear over many weeks. Very hardy and perennial. Veronica Gentianoides 'Tissington White' was introduced from Derbyshire in 1991. This form has large mid green leaves and the individual florets nearly twice the size of any other variety. It is very pale blue- almost white - with dark blue anthers and blue veining to the petals.Position: Full sun, partial shadeSoil: Almost any soil.Flowers: June, July, August (can flower earlier if grown in a greenhouse)Picture Image is showing when plant is in flower.Keep your flowers blooming longer with a bit of deadheading. Remove the flower stems of as the blooms begin to fade. It is tough, fully hardy and evergreen with pretty mauve-purple flowers produced from Spring through to Autumn, once established it will need next to no attention. A particularly tolerant plant, it will be happy in shade or sun, with deep green foliage carpeting the ground.The new growth each spring is bright green and at this point the plants become covered in masses of very pretty star-like flowers, these continue to appear sporadically throughout spring and summer and in to autumn.
