This is a handsome, slim conifer that is deservedly popular. Foliage is grey-green taking on distinctly stronger bluer tints in the winter months. Correctly sited it is useful with its tightly packed uniform foliage giving strong vertical but contained lines and it shouldn't reach more than 3m. Excellent for background planting, especially in the smaller garden where it can protect smaller shrubs from the worst of the weather.Adaptable to almost all soil types, but prefers humus-rich, slightly acidic, loamy or sandy, moist, well-drained soils. Skimmia japonica ‘Pabella’ (Gold Series) is a pretty Japanese skimmia. This flowering evergreen compact shrub has deep green leaves and bears lots of flower panicles in spring and early summer from beautiful small buds. The female will go on to bear beautiful bright berries which will attract wildlife to your garden. It’s an acid-loving plant that grows well in garden beds, borders or pots and prefers ericaceous soil.Sold in a 2 litre pot.

Prunus Angustifolia is a wide bushy evergreen shrub. Commonly known as the narrow leaf Portuguese Laurel or Portugal Laurel and also as Prunus Lusitanica Myrtifolia. The variety of Laurel is very similar to the Prunus Lusitanica but it has slightly narrower longer slimmer leaves which are a darker green and has a more compact growth habit. It also sports new stems that are a striking red in colour.This a is a very useful plant to have as a hedge or as an ornamental shrub. These particular Portugal Laurel specimens are ideal for use as a dense evergreen hedge, having already a nice, bushy shape. Providing year round interest, the evergreen Portugal Laurel Angustifolia has beautiful white/cream, fragrant flowers in summer (around June to August) followed by cherry-like fruits that are loved by birds. Prunus Lusitanica Myrtifolia is very hardy, despite the fact that it originally came to Britain from Portugal, which is why it is known as the Portuguese Laurel. Down through the years, Angustifolia has proved itself to be very hardy indeed.Sold in a 1 litre pot.
