A popular plant due to its attractiveness and speed of growth. This phoenix is a large, majestic palm, with a very solid trunk, and long feather leaves with spined petioles. Not self-cleaning, so the old leaves need to be cut off by hand. The leaves are quite spikey.Full sun, well drained position. Moderately hardy, and salt spray, and drought tolerant. Ideally suited to a life near the coast or in a tub. Seedlings are quite slow, but speed up considerably once they start to trunk.Sold in a 2 litre pot. -

This perennial will produce a mound of glossy evergreen foliage, that from April to May will be thoroughly covered in dainty lavender-blue flowers. A brilliant choice for rockeries and ground cover, 'Emerald Cushion' will suppress weeds and vigorously spread up to 50cm with a miniature height of only 10-15cm. Sold in a 2 litre pot. -
