This variety of Siberian Spruce are slow growing, compact conifers that have a rich green colouring. Forming a dense rounded clump of evergreen needles, Picea omorika 'Karel' will only grow at a rate of 2 to 3 inches each year (5 to 8cm) and so will take many years to reach its full size.Ideal for using in a dwarf conifer collection, containers or window boxes or amongst a flower border to help provides permanent greenery and structure, dwarf conifers are useful plants to have wherever you put them! This is an attractive, evergreen conifer with a compact, spreading growth habit. Lacy, golden-yellow new growth is produced in late spring and early summer. This retains its colour exceptionally well throughout summer and autumn, before darkening to a handsome shade of bronze in the winter.It's normally grown for its compact size and attractive winter colour, and is ideal for using as a foundation plant, specimen shrub or mass planting.
