    These exotic-looking flowers are surrounded by paddle-shaped, emerald-green leaves, which shred with age, but remain a feature throughout the year. This beautiful bird of paradise makes an interesting house plant for a bright, well-lit room and in summer, can be plunged (pot and all) in the middle of a sunny border to create an instant tropical effect.Birds of paradise usually flowers in late winter and spring.Position: full light (with some shade from hot sun)Soil: loam-based potting compostPicture image shows plant when in flower.Sold in a 10 litre pot.
  • Salvia nemorosa ‘Caradonna’ is a clump-forming salvia, bearing masses of violet-blue flowers from May to July. For best results grow Salvia ‘Caradonna’ in a sunny, sheltered spot.
