  • A compact lavender, named after Gertrude Jekyll's garden at Munstead Wood. It produces dense spikes of fragrant, bluish-purple summer flowers above slender, aromatic, grey-green leaves. This is a lovely lavender for edging paths and borders; the aromatic foliage perfumes the air if you brush against it. It also works well in a gravel garden, or clipped into a formal sphere for a contemporary look.   • Leptinella 'Platt's Black' is a delightful ground covering perennial. Evergreen with finely-divided, purple-bronze and dark -green foliage which is fern- like in appearance. Small yellow-green flowers in spring to summer, although this plant is grown for the very attractive foliage. Prefers humus rich soil, in moist but well drained soil. Hardy.   • A compact variety with strong stems bearing pure white daisy-like flowers in summer. Excellent as a cut flower and loved by bees and butterflies.Prefers a moist but well-drained soil in full sun. Remove spent blooms to encourage prolonged flowering.Sold in a 2 litre pot.
