  • RHS award of Garden Merit Hosta Sum & Substance is a clump-forming eye-catching plant with massive mid-green leaves up to 60cm (24") across topped with slightly scented pale lavender flowers in summer.Re-grows from ground level every year.Height: 1.2m (4ft) x Spread: 1.2m (4ft)Position: Well-drained, moist soil in some shade.Planting Guide: 1. Water pot well and leave to drain, 2. Dig a hole twice the size of the plant pot., 3. Mix some compost and general fertiliser into the soil., 4. Remove pot and place rootball level with soil., 5. Fill gap with soil/comost/fertiliser mixture., 6. Finally firm in well with heel and water well.Aftercare: In early winter remove all the foliage. In spring, take meaures to protect the plant against slugs and snalils. If the plant becomes too large or congested then lift, divide and plant in the autumn or spring.Tip, surround the area from the plant base outward to a fair bit with horitcultural grit, maybe place some large decorative stones to prevent the grit from escaping into the surrounding soil. Not only does this make the area look attractive but it acts as a deterrant to snails and slugs .Sold in a 3 litre pot.

The foliage of this Hebe is the main attraction to gardeners and the flowers these produce are just an extra benefit of growing this perennial. In July the Hosta Wide Brim bears tall, erect stems above the foliage with funnel shaped lavender coloured flowers which contrast well with the foliage.Planted in many locations, including flower beds and borders, used as ground cover or underplanting roses and trees.   • The aloe vera plant is an easy, attractive succulent that makes for a great indoor companion. Aloe vera plants are useful, too, as the juice from their leaves can be used to relieve pain from scrapes and burns when applied topically.Aloe vera is a succulent plant species of the genus Aloe. The plant is stemless or very short-stemmed with thick, greenish, fleshy leaves that fan out from the plant’s central stem. The margin of the leaf is serrated with small teeth. Please note that this plant requires bright spot, indirect sunlight (or, artificial sunlight).

  • The flowers are long lasting and it's not unusual for an Anthurium to be in almost continuous flower. With the bright waxy tough flowers hovering above the contrasting dark green leaves for months on end they're good value and certainly have many fans.
  • Asparagus setaceus plumosus is an elegant fern with long wiry stems and lovely frond-like sprays that scramble outwards horizontally. It is bushy initially, developing long, twining stems of bright green, feathery fronds. Tiny green-white bell shaped flowers may appear in late summer which develop into small, purple berries. Although Asparagus setaceus looks soft and frilly, it does develop thorns to watch for when handling.Asparagus setaceus plumosus is also known as Lace Fern, Common Asparagus Fern or Climbing Asparagus. Although it is called a fern, it is really a member of the lily family. It is fast-growing and can reach a height of 2.5mtr (unless pruned.)
  • Begonia Beleaf boasts seductively dark red, heart shaped foliage, with each leaf edged in jet black.Begonia Beleaf (also known as Begonia Rex) are famous for their interesting coloured leaves. An indoor plant. Ideal for bathrooms and light spaces. Requires regular care - carefully remove any old yellow leaves. Water regularly but don't let them sit in water as it will rot the roots.
  • Kindly note, this plant comes in different varieties and due to stock levels, we are unable to pick a preferred option. Likes;-Free-draining, gritty compost. Bright light, so put them on a sunny windowsill all year round.Feeding. To encourage good growth and flowering, feed once a month during the growing season (April–September), using either a liquid feed high in potassium such as a tomato fertilser, or a specialist liquid cacti feed.
