  • Clematis 'Diana's Delight' is a large-flowered and very free-flowering variety of clematis, bearing unusual blue flowers with a cream-yellow centre.Named after Lady Diana Rowland, the wife of the Bailiff of Guernsey.Flowers from May through to September. Prefers to be postioned in sun or partial shade. Soil pH: Alkaline, NeutralSoil Drainage: Moist but Well-Drained, Roots like to be cool, and not wet.This climber attracts bees and butterflies to your garden.   • The Gillian Blades is a mid-sized climber with glossy, dark-green leaves. In summer it bears large white flowers with cream anthers whose petals are margined with very pale mauve.   • Clematis montana Rubens is a very vigorous deciduous variety of spring blooming Clematis that will produce satin pink flowers with a sweet scent. These are produced from late April in mild years through to early summer. Each soft pink bloom has a light green and yellow heart, and they are produced en-mass to cover the entire vine. The young foliage has bronze shades and matures to light green.Clematis montana look beautiful when used to cover substantial buildings or sturdy fences, telegraph poles, or even old tree trunks.   • This vigorous evergreen climber can be variable, with veined or plain big glossy ovate or triangular leaves which are excellent for covering large walls and fences - or hiding eyesores. Its aerial roots, that form along the stems, enable it to cling to support, so no trellis or wires are needed, but it is also often planted on slopes to stabilise soil and provide year-round groundcover. It can have small insignificant greenish flowers that won't look much to us humans, but these are loved by pollinating insects. Then it can go on to produce black berries, which the birds and wildlife will devour.
