  • Calluna Disco also known as Calluna Vulgaris.Another type of Heather.Low growing, hardy evergreen perennial shrub which thrive in acidic soils in open sunny locations or partial shade. They are the dominant plants in most heathlands and moorlands in Europe with different varieties having flower colours ranging from white, through to pink, a wide range of purples and reds. There are two varieties - Calluna and Erica. Calluna has small scale-like leaves carried in opposite pairs, whereas Erica's foliage is more needle-like and borne in whorls. Both are brilliant for bringing a natural feel and splash of colour to your garden.Sold in a 1 litre pot.

  • This very popular conifer has bright lime/yellow foliage and an upright narrow shape. In summer, its foliage is lemon scented particularly when cut or brushed. It's quite vigorous, growing by 30-60cm per annum and will grow up to 5m in height but is happy to be kept lower. It is good in any free draining soil in sun or partial shade and well suited to coastal positions.This conifer is in a 1litre pot.

  • Hugely popular as it is so versatile for a wide range of cooked of cold dishes. Plain leaf parsley has a stronger flavour than curled. Outdoors - prepare the soil by raking until it is fine and crumbly, removing any large stones. Sow seed in 7cm (3.5in) pots of free-draining compost. Keep at 18-20?C (64-68?F) until after germination. Alternatively sow seed outdoors 1cm (½in) deep in drills 30cm (12in) apart.When large enough to handle, thin out seedlings to 23cm (9in) apart. Gradually acclimatise plants to outdoor conditions before planting out after all risk of frost. Harvest leaves as and when required. Indoor plants can be harvested all year round.To continue the organic life cycle of these seeds, gardeners should follow recognised organic growing methods, avoiding the use of artificial fertilisers and pesticides.
  • The sweet tasting, pointed heads weigh around 0.5kg, but the outer leaves are also tender and can be cooked as well. Perfect to use as a side dish or in summer coleslaw.Sow thinly direct into a finely raked seedbed at a depth of 13mm (½in). Alternatively sow in modules and plant out after all risk of frost has passed.Transplant with a trowel or dibber when large enough to handle allowing 45cm (18in) between plants each way. Grows best in well-cultivated soil liberally manured the previous autumn. If the weather is dry, water in well when transplanting.
