Usually Bearing evergreen crimson purple leaves with a satin sheen, this plant provides suburb ground cover. Despite its looks it is fully hardy and displays dainty sprays of tiny white flowers on slender upright stems from early summer. Perfect in patio planters, garden beds and border. Very effective colour all year round.Sun or part shade in fertile, moist but well-drained soil or potting compost. Plant at same depth as pot and gently firm and surrounding soil. A myriad of relatively large, showy, intense coral red flowers are held in well-branched panicles and persist for 4-8 weeks beginning in late spring.
