Amelanchier ‘Edelweiss’ is an upright, small tree with long panicles of white pretty flowers covering this tree in spring. Young leaves emerge silver turning to dark green in the summer and wonderful shades of yellow, red, and orange in the autumn. Clusters of round, edible fruits are left on the tree after leaf fall which are perfect for birds.Amelanchier Growing Tips: They will thrive in moist, well-drained, lime-free soil. The best autumn colour is achieved when they’re planted in a full sun position but they do tolerate partial shade.Height and Spread (after 10 years) : 4m x 3mPicture image courtesy of Frank P Matthews shows plant when in flowerSold in a 12 litre pot.
